Cricket betting at 666 gambit — bet on every format from T20 to Test
Bet on match winner, toss, top batsman and live markets in every BPL, IPL and ICC international series match — simple interface, fast payments.
Cricket's three formats and the major tournaments
Much of the enjoyment of cricket betting depends on which format is being played. T20 matches move fast — the situation can change every over, and the betting market shifts with it. In ODIs both teams bat for 50 overs, so mid-match markets become more important for bettors. In five-day Test matches, tactics and pitch behaviour play a big role — a draw is also a possible result, so the market carries an extra option.
The most popular competitions among cricket fans in Bangladesh are the BPL, IPL and ICC T20 World Cup. 666 gambit covers every BPL match, including the excitement generated at Dhaka's stadiums during the tournament. Bangladesh Tigers matches in international series are also available here.
You can also bet on football, tennis and other sports at 666 gambit Bet — betting does not stop during the cricket off-season.
Cricket and other sports betting — what is the difference?
Cricket Betting
The innings-based structure, pitch conditions, weather and the impact of every wicket keep shifting a cricket match's odds. In T20, the drama of the final overs is especially significant for live betting.
Football Betting
Football has a fixed duration — 90 minutes. A draw is a separate result, so the market always has three options. Over/under markets based on the number of goals are particularly popular here.
Other Sports
There is no draw in tennis, kabaddi or badminton — a winner is decided outright. Head-to-head form and rankings are much more relevant in these sports, and the market changes with every game or point.
Popular betting markets in cricket and common examples
The markets below are available at 666 gambit. A brief explanation is given alongside each one — these are for general understanding, not predictions for any specific match.
| Market name | How it works | Common example |
|---|---|---|
| Match Winner | Choose which team will win the match. | Team A vs Team B — if the team you picked wins, your bet wins. |
| Toss Winner | Bet on the toss result before the match starts. | If you back Team A to win the toss and Team A does win it, your bet pays out. |
| Top Batsman | Who will score the most runs for a team? | If a specific batter scores the highest runs for Team B, your bet wins. |
| Total Runs Over/Under | Whether the total runs in a match or an innings will be above or below a set number. | Line set at 160 runs in 20 overs — if you pick over, you win if 161+ runs are scored. |
| Over of First Wicket | Guess which over the first wicket will fall in. | If a wicket falls inside the powerplay, your bet wins. |
| Multi Bet | Combine multiple betting selections into a single bet. | If you pick results from three separate matches, all of them must be correct to win — one wrong selection and the whole bet loses. |
| Handicap | The weaker team is given a virtual run advantage to level the betting. | If Team B is given a 15-run handicap, whether your bet wins or loses depends on which side you backed, based on whether Team B stays within that margin. |
Betting is a form of entertainment. Bet within your means and follow the responsible gaming guidelines.
Decimal, Fractional and American Odds — three ways to write them
The same odds can be written in three different ways. At 666 gambit you will usually see the decimal format, but understanding the other formats will help you avoid any confusion on international sites.
Example 1 — Team A to win, stake ৳200
If Team A loses, the full ৳200 is lost. All three formats express the same outcome — only the way they are written differs.
When one team is the clear favourite
The favourite's odds are always lower because they are considered more likely to win. In American format, a minus (-) sign means you need to stake that amount to make a profit of 100 taka.
Example 2 — Team B to win (favourite), stake ৳200
American -200 means: you need to stake ৳200 to make a profit of ৳100. Decimal and fractional say the same thing.
Odds shift when a wicket falls — in-play betting is the most fast-moving
Live or in-play betting in cricket means entering the market while the match is in progress. Odds update instantly after every wicket, every boundary and even at the end of every over.
Say Team A loses 2 quick wickets in the first powerplay. The odds for the team that was favourite before the match started will lengthen — because the market now considers their chances of winning lower. The opposite happens when a team gets off to a strong start and their odds shorten.
In a T20 match, if the run rate climbs in the last five overs, or in a Test match if the pitch starts to break up, the effect is reflected directly in the in-play market. Betting should always be approached as entertainment — because in-play moves fast, it is important to make decisions with a clear head.
Know this before you start cricket betting
- Understand the format first. Betting in T20 and Test cricket calls for different approaches. The final overs matter most in T20; pitch and weather are key in Test matches.
- Set a budget in advance. Decide on a maximum amount before each betting session and stick to it — placing larger bets to chase losses is not a wise approach.
- Be careful with multi bets. All selections must be correct to win — one wrong pick and the entire bet is lost. Combining multiple selections also increases your risk.
- Do not rush in live betting. Odds change quickly in the in-play market. Make decisions with a clear head, not on impulse.
- Betting is entertainment — not a guaranteed income. Cricket results are never certain. Treat betting as part of your entertainment, not as a source of income.
- Use the 666 gambit VIP programme for account benefits. Regular bettors can access a range of benefits in the VIP programme, including weekly cashback.
Compare odds
Look at the odds across different markets for the same match to understand how likely the market considers each outcome. A higher number means the outcome is considered less likely — and the potential return is therefore higher.

Three selections combined — the multi bet calculation
In a multi bet, selections from multiple matches are placed on a single slip and all the odds are multiplied together to give the total odds. The example below is for illustration only — these are not the odds for any particular match.
If even one of the three selections is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost. You only get ৳381 back if all of them are correct.
